The pace of change in the technology sector has always been rapid, but a recent McKinsey report predicts that we’ll experience more technological progress in the coming decade than we did in the preceding 100 years put together. Everyone wants the next, newest, and greatest SaaS products.
Our goal at CloudExtend is to provide the most loved productivity apps, but having a great product isn’t enough. We need to deliver excellence across every area including sales, customer success, and support. We also need to deliver a clear ROI to our customers and an understanding of how our email integration apps increase automation and make everyday tasks much faster and easier.
Why Integrate Emails?
Without CloudExtend Outlook or CloudExtend Google Workspace for NetSuite, important emails remain stuck in individual inboxes and invisible to others, creating communication silos. We offer an easy one click solution to attach emails and files to NetSuite records directly from Outlook or Gmail. Users love that we allow them to stop wasting time copying and pasting emails. With CloudExtend’s email integration apps, NetSuite records can also be easily viewed, edited, and created directly from the Outlook or Gmail inbox. Installation happens in seconds without requiring a heavy lift from the IT department.
Believe it or not, some organizations are still relying on copy/paste to update NetSuite records, and the question “why?” may come to mind. Many organizations are too busy putting out fires, or just haven’t had the chance to solve this issue. They may find some processes such as copy/paste much too time consuming or difficult and, in the end, if there is not a proven ROI they won’t be able to get an expenditure approved. Sharing relevant email communications, customer records, and files should be part of an organization’s culture, if it’s not already. It significantly reduces frustration in attempting to surface important information. It also increases the likelihood of better customer experiences, employee onboarding, and executive oversight.
Email Automation for Better Customer Experiences
In the past, sharing email communications could be difficult and manual, so users in some organizations were resistant to take the steps needed to do it. CloudExtend changes all of that.
To continuously increase innovation such as email automation in our product enhancements, we utilize regular input from our customers. Customer surveys and our product board drive our efforts to create more automated features within CloudExtend Outlook or CloudExtend Google Workspace for NetSuite. One example is the launch of Autopilot, which positively impacts our customers’ work experience everyday.
“Autopilot has made my life a lot easier. There are a lot of back-and-forth emails that begin with a single thread. CloudExtend eliminates a lot of manual work and saves the company approximately 200 hours per user per year,” according to Tom Barczak, CIO, InSource Solutions, Inc.
“The CloudExtend Outlook Autopilot feature is really great. It was very easy to use, one click of one button, and it keeps relaying information to NetSuite. It’s really smooth functionality and we save about 520 hours a year with it,” said Kirsty Prestidge, Key Accounts Manager, Presco Hire.
We use insights from our customers such as Presco Hire, InSource Solutions, Inc., EnableIP, LLC, Hydro-Chem Systems Inc, Botanical Science, along with many others to continue to enhance their results.
“Without a doubt, the implementation of CloudExtend Google Workspace for NetSuite was very easy and caused absolutely no disruption to production. I’m considering other ways to use technology and automation to master our customer journey because innovation is at the core of who we are as a company,” said David Presley, President, Hydro-Chem Systems, Inc.
“With CloudExtend products, we increased efficiency and productivity by 20% in Google Drive & Outlook!” said Chase Linscomb, Customer Solutions Specialist, EnableIP, LLC.
New features that we’ve added to our product roadmap based on customer feedback are an automated Event Sync as well as hyperautomation.
CloudExtend email productivity apps serve as a hyperautomation technology that integrates two platforms. We understand that in today’s climate that the need for automation is very real. On our productboard it is the #1 request from our customers. Everyone wants to do more in less time, and we’ve built out a robust product roadmap to address automation.
Hyperautomation is a business-driven, disciplined approach that organizations use to rapidly identify, vet and automate as many business and IT processes as possible. The benefits of hyperautomation include connecting multiple automated processes in an intelligent way and learning from automating tasks. As more of an emphasis is put on customer experience, the relevance of hyperautomation increases.
We’ve listened to our customers and we’re excited about enhancing our automation and security product roadmap.

The Future is Full Visibility
In a remote working environment, file cabinets cannot be visited and conversations cannot happen over cubicles. Without the proverbial water cooler, employees have had to learn to communicate in an entirely different way. COVID-19 and working from home has compounded the existing issue of when an employee leaves the organization and all of their communications end up isolated in an archived world.
Excellent customer experiences depend on customer-facing employees understanding who they are speaking to and what their individual needs and pain points are. With CloudExtend, users no longer have to resort to time-consuming processes to get answers to questions that should be easy to surface in a modern CRM system.
