Common NetSuite workflow problems at SuiteWorld

Every year at SuiteWorld, we end up having some version of the same three conversations. If any of these sound familiar, that’s exactly why we build what we build. 

“Our reps live in  their inbox, not the CRM.” Sales and customer success teams naturally work out of email. As a result, important context, like a pricing conversation or a customer complaint, often never makes it into NetSuite unless someone remembers to copy and paste it later. 

“Month-end close still means rebuilding the same report from scratch.” Finance teams are stuck choosing between flexibility and freshness. NetSuite is the system of record, but the reporting usually happens in Excel, and once the connection depends on manual exports, every question means a new report. Change the period, pull new data. Need transaction-level detail, leave the workbook and go dig through NetSuite by hand. Half of finance teams still report taking six or more business days to close the books, and Excel-driven manual work is consistently cited as one of the biggest reasons why. 

“Files end up scattered across email, shared drives, and NetSuite’s file cabinet.” Keeping documents attached to the right record matters for visibility, but doing it by hand doesn’t scale, and unlimited file cabinet space isn’t free. 

How CloudExtend solves these NetSuite workflow gaps

It also solves a deliverability problem some teams don’t notice until it costs them a reply: emails sent straight from NetSuite go out from a generic, system-generated address that spam filters are quick to flag. With ExtendSync’s Send from Outlook feature, users compose in NetSuite but send through their own Outlook account, so the message lands in their Sent folder and in the recipient’s inbox instead of spam. 
• ExtendInsights brings NetSuite data into Excel for both day-to-day data management and deeper analysis. Teams can import, update, and validate NetSuite records in bulk directly from a spreadsheet, catching errors in-cell and resending instead of reworking a CSV. On the analytics side, ExtendInsights connects Excel and Power BI to live NetSuite data for dashboards and reporting, refreshable on demand instead of rebuilt by hand. And this year, we’re especially excited to show off the newest addition: ExtendInsights Financial Reporting, which brings income statements, balance sheets, and P&L into Excel with drill-down into the transaction detail, all on a fixed-cost model so the investment stays predictable no matter how often reports get refreshed. 
• ExtendDocs connects NetSuite to SharePoint and OneDrive, so files can be dragged, dropped, and attached to the right record without eating into File Cabinet space or asking someone to manage it manually.
