Around the World with CloudExtend and SuiteConnect

Earlier this year, two of our CloudExtend integration experts had the chance to represent our solutions at several different SuiteConnect meetings across the country and the world. From the deep dish pizza of Chicago to the fish and chips of London, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to the Sydney Opera House, Zach Smitson and A.D. Aiyedogbon had their fair share of adventures meeting NetSuite users around the globe.

Misadventures . . .

Traveling anywhere is not without its complications, and that gets even crazier traveling internationally. For both Zach and A.D., this was the first time traveling internationally for CloudExtend and even though there were bumps along the way, they’d gladly do it all again.

“I got pretty lost walking through Camden Market in London,” Zach admitted. This complex along the Regent’s Canal is home to independent shops along with a variety of restaurants and cafes. If you think you’ve never seen Camden Market or the surrounding area, think again: Multiple movies and TV shows including “James Bond: Spectre,” Marvel’s “Eternals,” even the 2005 version of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” had scenes filmed in Camden.

A.D.’s international travel to Sydney didn’t start off quite as planned, but did get better. “I missed my initial flight and ended up spending my birthday on a plane,” he lamented. “It felt like a letdown, but I met some amazing people along the way that I wouldn’t have if things had gone according to schedule.”

. . . And Adventures

Fortunately, that was the worst of the travel for both of them. “I learned to use the Tube [London’s underground train system] pretty well after I got lost,” Zach laughed. And despite getting lost, he still had some time to do some very iconic London touristy things, like visit Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards.

To our knowledge, the King did not invite him in. Pity; we’re sure they could use some great NetSuite integration, too!

A.D. found Sydney to be an incredible blend of natural beauty and modern city life. He stopped by icons such as the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Botanic Garden, along with a local farmer’s market. “There’s this laidback but intentional energy to the city,” A.D. observed, “where people work hard but also make time to enjoy the moment. It reminded me of the importance of balance, both personally and professionally.”

But Also Connecting at SuiteConnect

Speaking of balance, each SuiteConnect trip had a great balance between not only work and play, but also mixes of current Celigo and CloudExtend users, potential clients, and industry leaders from across the NetSuite ecosystem.

“I loved how eager attendees were to learn more about potential use cases and integrations to make their NetSuite instances work better for them,” said Zach. “They were there to find out how to make NetSuite more productive, and that’s exactly what we do.”

“It was rewarding to see the real-world impact of our solutions in an international setting,” A.D. added. “I had great conversations with customers and prospects throughout.”

“Seeing some of the people I’ve worked with there in person for the first time was a good reminder that CloudExtend is helping a lot of users out as well, and generating a lot of customer satisfaction,” Zach concluded.

Both A.D. and Zach made it back to their respective home bases safe and sound, and full of new perspectives on NetSuite users, integrations, and life around the world. And something tells us that if we ask them to attend SuiteConnect meetings in 2026, they’ll be more than happy to volunteer.
